The Blue Plaque for Worle Village Primary School was unveiled on 12th December, 2018.
Worle History Society funded the plaque and we were delighted to welcome Cllr. Lyle, Cllr John Crockford-Hawley, Martha Perriam and particularly the Head Teacher, Staff and Pupils of the school.
Worle is one of few places hereabouts which has never changed its name. Known as Worle when William the Conqueror arrived in 1066 this spelling has stayed with us for nearly one thousand years, so no excuse for any Worle Village Primary School pupil making a spelling mistake even if the rest of this Domesday Book extract is a hint difficult to decipher!
