Meet the research team
Pete Snook and Dave Hart Derek Venn Brenda Arthur Jenny Gosden
Peter Johnson Frank Gosden & Raye Green Nadine Kilvington

As a history society we would love to investigate everything from the Domesday Book to yesterday. We certainly hope that members and non-members will contribute anything they possess that is of interest. Please contact us or come to open meetings with photos, documents, anything that is evidence from the past.
We have some exciting new projects underway, which mad members have suggested and volunteered to research.
- Peter Johnson is in the process of producing a pamphlet about maps of the area, old and new, and their various strengths and weaknesses.
- Derek Venn is spending his summer tying up the relationship between the tithes and the census returns.
- Sue Hoddinott is looking into the history of policing in Worle
- David Hart, who is a walker and cyclist, is studying the Lanes and Byways.

Delighted to announce that Brenda Clayton has agreed to take on the 2010 Scrap book. She will be collecting newspaper cuttings, photos, announcements and events so that history is being written for future generations. Contact Raye on 01934 516773 [I need to get Brenda's permission before using her number] or bring anything of interest to our meetings.
Nadine's Weddings file is looking good. She has accumulated an interesting collection of photos from the sublime to the ridiculous, as they say.
Raye has started on a new project - a book based on Worle at War. Contributions urgently requested. Pictures, articles, ration books, memories. Everything welcome. Phone 516773 if you think you can help.
Dave Nock is writing a booklet about HMS Birnbeck in WW11. Not in Worle, we know, but fascinating for all that.
Jenny has visited Nora Jeffries and gathered pictures, info and Nora's precious log book to help with her research into local guiding.
